Driver platform agreement
Effective October 1, 2026
These terms supplement the platform terms for driver applicants and approved drivers. Acceptance and an uploaded document do not grant a municipal licence, insurance coverage or permission to transport passengers.
Eligibility and ongoing verification
You must hold all required licences, permits, work eligibility, insurance, vehicle registration and current safety inspections, and satisfy applicable screening and approved-training requirements. Provide truthful documents, a current driver portrait, vehicle details and tax-registration information. RAYET must review eligibility and municipal approvals before enabling transportation. Report expiry, licence restrictions, accidents, vehicle changes and relevant disqualifying events promptly; do not operate while suspended or uninsured.
Your choices and duties
You can go online/offline and accept, counter or decline eligible requests. Offers stay within the protected fare range and are not shown to other drivers. After rider selection and verified payment, provide the agreed trip safely and lawfully. Confirm the PIN, vehicle identity, lawful passenger capacity and child restraints. Do not use the phone while driving or accept conflicting trips. Respect service animals and accessibility/human-rights obligations; a preference for repeat riders does not permit discrimination.
Earnings, fees, tips and tax
The selected fare and platform fee are recorded per trip. The configured launch model uses a 15% base-fare platform fee, with no platform deduction from optional tips. Tax is separate from the base fare. Stripe manages account verification, payout eligibility and payout timing; fees, reversals and holds may apply under the approved payment arrangement. Drivers supplying taxable commercial ride-sharing services must satisfy their GST/HST registration and remittance duties even if they are small suppliers. The platform’s accounting/tax setup, including tax on platform services, must be confirmed before live transactions.
Insurance and municipal authorization
Personal auto insurance alone must not be assumed to cover commercial ride-sharing. Verify coverage for each operational phase and comply with insurer and municipal conditions. RAYET must have its own applicable operating permissions and commercial coverage. Neither application approval nor these terms is evidence that insurance is bound or a regulator has approved you.
Location and data
Location sharing is necessary to receive geographically eligible offers and support matched trips. While online or serving a trip, keep the workspace open and permit location updates. Close it or go offline when not working. The browser does not support reliable suspended/background tracking. RAYET may share legally required driver/vehicle/trip records with regulators and incident-specific records with insurers; see the privacy notice.
Refunds, reviews and access restrictions
Pre-start cancellations receive a full fare refund under the current policy, including reversal of the associated transfer. RAYET may review disputes, unsafe behaviour, expired eligibility and fraud. Restrictions must be proportionate and comply with law; contact support to request review and explain relevant evidence. Earned amounts remain subject to lawful accounting, refunds and provider settlement rules. No provision predetermines employment status or excludes rights under applicable worker-protection laws.
