Privacy notice
Effective October 1, 2026
This notice describes the information processed by RAYET’s website and operating workspace. Contact info@getrayet.com, attention Privacy, for questions, access, correction, withdrawal or deletion requests. Processing described for rides occurs only when you use enabled ride features.
Information and purposes
Account identity, verified email and profile details support authentication and account administration. Waitlist information and separate consent records support launch interest and permitted updates. Trip addresses, route estimates, offers, vehicle information, trip status, PIN, payment references, reviews, messages, favourites, blocks and reports support matching, payment, safety, dispute handling and support. Driver applications include vehicle/plate information, documents, expiry dates, eligibility reviews and payout-account references. Submit only requested information; do not include unnecessary health information, Social Insurance Numbers or card numbers in uploads or messages.
Device location
Rider addresses are used to estimate and arrange trips; the current workspace does not require continuous rider device tracking. With browser permission, driver coordinates are sent while the driver is online or has an active trip and the workspace is open. Before matching, only an approximate pickup area is shown to candidate drivers. After verified booking, the matched rider can see the driver’s latest location and vehicle details. Location is not public. Turning off permission, going offline with no active trip, or closing the page stops updates. A browser cannot provide reliable background tracking when suspended.
Who receives information
Matched trip participants receive necessary trip and vehicle information and messages; riders see relevant driver profile and rating information. Authorized operations staff review documents, reports and restricted records. Clerk processes authentication; Supabase stores platform records and private documents; Vercel hosts the site; Mapbox processes address/route requests; Stripe processes payments and payout onboarding; Bravenet handles configured operational email. Clicking an external map link shares coordinates with that map provider. Providers may process information outside Canada, subject to foreign laws. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising profiling.
Consent and choices
Necessary service processing is explained before you accept the relevant policies. Driver location requires browser permission in addition to the service notice. Marketing email and SMS consent are independent, unchecked choices; refusing marketing does not prevent account use. You may withdraw optional consent at any time through support. Withdrawal of necessary processing may mean the associated feature cannot be provided. Account creation does not authorize marketing. We record policy versions and acceptance timestamps.
Cookies and security
Authentication uses essential session/security cookies. Local storage remembers the workspace theme. RAYET does not currently add advertising trackers or optional analytics cookies. Hosting and authentication services process technical request/security data. Platform database tables and document downloads are restricted; document download links expire. These measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security. We do not record calls, microphone audio or camera video in the workspace.
Retention
Information is retained only while needed for its stated purpose, lawful accounting/regulatory obligations, safety claims, dispute resolution and fraud prevention. Unused quotes, precise location records, documents, messages and inactive accounts require a documented retention review before transportation opens. Current driver location is overwritten by new updates; historical GPS tracks are not collected by this workspace. Financial records may need longer retention than operational records. A deletion request is assessed against legal holds and mandatory recordkeeping, with an explanation of any retained categories.
Access, corrections and deletion
Use the workspace privacy controls or contact info@getrayet.com, attention Privacy. We verify identity proportionately, provide access to your information, correct inaccuracies and assess erasure/consent requests. Information about other people, privileged material or legally restricted records may need redaction or withholding. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the authority with jurisdiction. An account closure request does not silently cancel an active trip or erase records required for refunds.
Safety, legal disclosures and breaches
We may disclose proportionate information to insurers, regulators, law enforcement or emergency responders where legally required or permitted, and to investigate a safety incident or claim. We will assess breaches, keep required records and notify affected people and regulators where applicable law requires it. A business reorganization may involve transfer of records subject to appropriate protections and legal requirements. Material changes to this notice are announced before new processing begins.
